Thanks to some support from the Australian Orchid Foundation, I’m working on developing germination methods for Calochilus, which currently can’t be grown ex situ.
I’ve been investigating the conditions that can successfully germinate C. robertsonii including media, incubation conditions and physiological dormancy. The hopes of this are that these conditions can be used for threatened Calochilus species, such and C. richiae.
